About

In 2021, Matt and Santa Abraham established the Geneva High School Alumni Scholarship to support a Geneva High School graduate in attending FLCC. Since its inception, 7 people have benefited from the scholarship. Matt, a 1990 Geneva High graduate who also teaches and coaches for the district, understands that attending college can be a financial burden on some. “We want to be able to alleviate some of that burden so college students can focus on their academics.” Matt said “I take great pride of being a product of the Geneva school system and hope this helps someone become successful.”

Their aim is to inspire the Geneva community to raise funds for the scholarship by offering to match up to $1,000 during FLCC’s Laker Day of Giving.

Santa Abraham shared, “We want this scholarship to be sustainable for many years to come. I doesn’t matter how old someone is or what their major is. The only requirement for this scholarship is that the student has to be a Geneva graduate.”

On May 1, a donation to the Geneva High School Alumni Scholarship will help reach this goal and unlock the $1,000 match, providing even more scholarship funds for a deserving FLCC student.

* Note: This scholarship is not managed by the Geneva School District.
